Smells Like Team Spirit

How we pick our dream team

I’m not a football fan, but I’m delighted to see the Wales team doing so well in the Euro 2020 tournament.
Against the odds, Robert Page (I’m told he’s our stand-in manager) has steered us through to the last 16.

It’s an incredible achievement for a nation our size and shows what can be achieved when people pull together in the same direction with a clear goal in mind.

At LL Estates, I’m proud of our team. Since I opened the doors in 2012, it was always my goal to build a team that looked after clients as its number one goal.

Fast forward nine years, and that goal hasn’t changed. The focus of finding the right people and getting them on board has led to us creating a group of girls (we’re currently an all-female office) who get on well and are great at their jobs.

We have a mix of youth and experience (as I’m told the Welsh side has) which our clients love.
And the one thing I always look for in a team player is a good sense of humour and a good work ethic.

As I said to a friend last week, we take our job seriously but not ourselves. I think this has gone a long way to us keeping our team together for many years. People only leave us due to a change in their circumstances which usually means they have had a baby, something I guess Robert Page doesn’t have to worry about much.

I’d like to think that our team’s togetherness shows we look after people and treat them in the right way.

I’d also like to think that I lead by example. One thing I’ve never done is ask one of the team to do something I wouldn’t do myself. It’s not how we do things here at LL Estates.

We’ll be cheering on Wales versus Denmark on Saturday as Gareth Bale and the boys seek to make it to the quarter-finals.

Come on Wales - Dewch ymlaen Cymru!!!!
